Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of Oniontape (the "Service"), a workspace platform where you build your own apps with AI. By using the Service, you agree to these Terms. If you have any questions, contact us at hello@oniontape.com.

The Service

Oniontape lets you describe an app in chat, have AI build it, and use it inside your workspace to create and manage your own data. Your apps and data sync across your devices.

Your Account

You sign in with your Google account. You are responsible for activity that occurs under your account and for keeping access to your Google account secure. You must be legally capable of entering into these Terms to use the Service.

Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

• attempt to create or run app code that is malicious, including code intended to attack the Service, other users, or third parties;
• attempt injection, prompt-injection, or other attacks intended to bypass the Service's security measures or sandboxing;
• use the Service for unlawful purposes, or to store or distribute unlawful content;
• interfere with or disrupt the Service, or access it by automated means in a way that places unreasonable load on our infrastructure.

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these Terms.

Credits and Paid Features

Some features — such as building apps with AI — consume credits. Plan credits renew on a schedule and do not roll over; granted or purchased credits do not expire. Credit amounts, renewal schedules, and pricing may change; we will communicate material changes in advance where reasonably possible. Except where required by law, credits are non-refundable and have no cash value.

Subscriptions, Billing, and Payments

Paid plans (Pro) are billed on a recurring basis — monthly or yearly, depending on the plan you choose — and renew automatically until cancelled. You can cancel at any time from Settings → Billing; your paid access continues until the end of the billing period you have already paid for.

Payments are processed by our payment provider, Paddle, which acts as the Merchant of Record for all purchases. This means Paddle handles the transaction, charges applicable taxes, and issues receipts. We do not receive or store your full payment card details. Refunds and cancellations are governed by our Refund Policy.

Your Content

You own the content you create on the Service — your apps, items, and chat messages. You grant us the limited rights needed to operate the Service, such as storing, syncing, and processing your content (including sending chat messages and app code to our AI provider to generate app code). We do not claim ownership of your content.

Third-Party Services

The Service integrates with third-party services such as Google (sign-in and Google Calendar). Your use of those services is governed by their own terms and privacy policies. You can disconnect a connected service at any time in Settings → Connections. Our handling of data received from Google APIs is described in our Privacy Policy.

Disclaimer of Warranties

The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. AI-generated app code may contain errors; you are responsible for reviewing how the apps you build handle your data.

Limitation of Liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Oniontape shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or any loss of data, profits, or revenues, arising out of or related to your use of the Service.

Termination

You may stop using the Service at any time and may request deletion of your account by contacting us. We may suspend or terminate the Service or your access to it for violations of these Terms, with notice where reasonably possible. If your account remains inactive for an extended period, we may delete the workspace data stored on our servers, including backups, after sending advance notice to your registered email. Active paid (Pro) accounts are exempt from inactivity deletion. See our Privacy Policy for details.

Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. We will post the updated version on this page and revise the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the updated Terms.
